This increases stress and this elevates the secretion of stress hormones in the endocrine gland. This stimulates the body and the brain cannot get the requisite relaxation. This again affects the nervous system. In addition to this, the electromagnetic radiations emitted by these gadgets affect anything in the radius of 2-3 feet.

Those who work with the gadgets kept on their lap will more often than not experience pain in the neck muscles because bending down continuously to look at the laptop causes stress to those muscles. When people spend many hours in front of the computer in the ergonomically wrong posture, it can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome that can cause pain, numbness, and tingling in arms, palm, and fingers. Severe conditions might also require surgery. Physicians hence recommend that the right posture be maintained when working at the computer for long durations.
