Full fill self -development Goals

The meaning of good virtues should not be restricted only to achieving the high ideals like truthfulness, non-violence, celibacy, devotion to God, etc. Its sphere of influence actually spans far beyond and permeates every single area of the inner (thinking, feelings) and outer (action, speech, conduct, etc.) life.

Good virtues include all the habits and inclinations which help us to refine the entire personality, make it honest and superb like that of a true gentleman. It is worthy and truly exemplary if someone never lies, never steals or never commits adultery. However, pursuing only this much would not be enough for the purpose of fulfilling the self-development. Even insects and plants never lie or steal, do they !? These obviously evident virtues form just a small fraction of good conduct but fall well short of fulfilling the goal of self-development.

The all-inclusive process of self-development should resolve the tumult of wayward thoughts going on continuously in the mind. It should also get rid of the negative impulses (worry, anger, anxiety, etc.) and depravities which have been wrecking the mind. It should also put an end to a widespread dismal quality of life caused by the lack of excellence in qualities, actions and nature.
